Little Peak Preschool Children’s Church Leader
Position Description – Encourage and love preschool kids.
Description of Duties – Share a lesson from age-appropriate curriculum and assist kids with crafts and games.
Time Commitment – 1 ½ hours per week, 1 Sunday a month, 9:15 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
Peak Children’s Church Lesson Leader
Position Description – Teach age-appropriate curriculum to 3 different groups of students, 1st – 6th grade.
Description of Duties – Share a 25-minute lesson with each group of students
Time Commitment – 1 ½ hours per week, 1 Sunday a month, 9:15 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
Peak Children’s Church Worship Leader
Position Description – Lead a 25-minute worship time for 3 different groups of students, 1st – 6th grade.
Description of Duties – Engage the children in active and exciting worship with provided music.
Time Commitment – 1 ½ hours per week, 1 Sunday a month, 9:15 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
Peak Children’s Church Game/Activity Leader
Position Description – Lead a 25-minute game or activity with 3 different groups of students, 1st – 6th grade.
Description of Duties – Engage the children in games or fun activity.
Time Commitment – 1 ½ hours per week, 1 Sunday a month, 9:15 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
Children’s Sunday School Teacher
Position Description – Share God’s Word with children.
Description of Duties – Teach a church-supplied age-appropriate Bible Story curriculum.
Time Commitment – 2 hours per week (1 hour preparation, 1 hour classroom time), 2nd hour each week 11:00 - 12:00
AWANA Leader
Position Description – Assist in leading a group of kids as they discover the truths of God’s Word.
Description of Duties – Leaders help in several areas: listening to students recite verses, sharing Bible lessons with students, tracking children’s progress as they work their way through their books, leading game time for several age groups of kids.
Time Commitment – 1 ½ hours on Wednesday evenings, September through April, 6:45 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Vacation Bible School Leader
Position Description – Assist kids to learn more about God and have a great time for one week during the summer.
Description of Duties – Lead a small group of kids or work with crafts, drama, or worship in a fun summer adventure.
Time Commitment – In addition to preparation time (varies with area of volunteering), 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Monday through Friday for one week in June.
